Board Position - Director

The Connellan Airways Trust

We support people in Outback Australia. We are committed to reducing the disadvantage of geographical isolation and remoteness through the provision of grants and scholarships in support of education and health.

The Trust is currently seeking to appoint up to 2 x Directors to complement our skilled and knowledgeable board.

We welcome expressions of interest from people with knowledge and experience in any of the following areas:

1. Experience with not-for-profit organisations
2. Legal expertise or knowledge
3. Marketing expertise or knowledge
4. Fundraising skills

Formal courses and/or qualifications in governance with the Australian Institute of Company Directors or the Governance Institute of Australia are highly regarded, but not essential.

We invite all interested people to apply, noting that previous board experience is not necessary, just enthusiasm to share your experience and a commitment to support the work of the Trust. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply. NT residency is preferred but not necessary.

The Board generally meets four to six times per year, with a mix of in person and virtual meetings. The in-person meetings are held in Alice Spring, NT. These positions are voluntary roles.
