Since 1981, we’ve supported people and communities across the Outback, funding education, health and community-led projects.
We believe where you live shouldn’t determine what you can achieve. That’s why we invest in opportunities for people in remote and very remote Australia, helping to reduce the impact of distance and isolation.
We’re working towards a thriving Outback, where barriers to access are reduced, communities are strong and locally led, and people have the opportunity to succeed, no matter where they live.
How We Help
General Grants
Up to $10,000 for individuals and organisations in remote and very remote Australia, funding education, health, training and community initiatives that distance would otherwise put out of reach. Three rounds per year.

Distance Education Program
Practical funding for families, students and schools in remote Australia, covering travel and accomodation costs for in school events.

Awards
EJ Connellan & Roger Connellan
Two annual awards honouring the Connellan legacy, supporting further study, research and aviation professional development for people in remote and very remote Australia.

Scholarships
Sustained financial support for remote Australians pursuing vocational training or university study, including programs at Charles Darwin University and CQUniversity.
