Dr Jess Coolwell completed her degree in 2021 and the Trust is so pleased to have been part of her journey. 

"The financial assistance of the EJ Connellan Award has been nothing short of invaluable to me over the past 4 years. Studying full-time for 7 years total is a huge financial strain and the award has given me the wriggle room to be able to afford to travel and stay away from home for placements in Nhulunbuy, Mataranka and Alice Springs, which is the best preparation I could have had for a career in rural medicine. It has ensured I have had the equipment I need such as a great stethoscope and a new laptop when my old one blew up. I can't thank you enough for helping me achieve my goals and have the best start to a career that will hopefully give a lot back to the rural community that raised me."
