CQU Scholarships
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your kind support of the CQUni Cares Scholarship program, specifically in providing the Connellan Airways Trust Scholarship. As the 2019 recipient of this Central Queensland University scholarship, I wanted to express how much your support means to myself, my family and my community. I live in Tenindewa, Western Australia, on a farm where my husband works. Each week I make several, hour-long drives to Geraldton, where I attend four lectures through Geraldton Universities Centre and Central Queensland University. In addition to raising my three sons who are 3, 8 and 9 years old and studying full time, I am also a volunteer for several not-for-profit organisations. As I am sure you are aware, the added cost of studying in a rural or remote area can be significant, and these costs were having an impact on my young family and my ability to maintain my volunteer commitments. However, with your support, a large amount of my travel costs to university have been covered, and I have been able to continue my volunteer roles.
